Tuesday 9th November 2010, PSJ and it's persistently raining.

OK, so persistently isn't quite right and sometimes the Mr sun jumps out now and again. It's still warmish as your can see. The bag is the smallest bag of rock salt we could buy and when SWMBO opened it she thought it was damp. So it's been sitting there in the sun, drying out, as some kind of stupid ornament, for nearly a week. As it only cost 85 cents I've told her to chuck it away and get another dry one because as sure as eggs is eggs I'm going to knock it over and scatter rock salt all over the MS.

Today we may have a drive to the lakes, about 15 miles in old money and take some “dramatic rain sodden pictures” as she puts it. Mind you she's been taking some good ones lately. I took my Olympus DSLR “mega” camera and various lens and filters to get the sunset pictures the other evening, she took her “point and click”. Everyone of hers is better than mine, that can't be right can it? I mean, it's a man thing. I blamed it on having bought the wrong ISO film but even she didn't fall for that and pointed to the word “Digital SLC” stamped on my camera, damn!

The internet stopped working this morning and does not look like coming on anytime soon, so my daily surf of the various forums and checking my mail will have to wait. More important is that I cannot take up the rights issue that Centrica is running because I'm not going to get the information back from Adam, at home with the documents, in time. Ho hum, it's only a thousand pounds we are losing. Last year when we were staying at Bonterra Park, the internet used to go down regularly and any complains were met with “It's free, what you you expect”. Well if it's part of the price you pay, it's included, not free, there is a difference. It's times like that when the Spanish person you were talking to quite fluently suddenly forgets any English they had and cannot understand your attempts at Spanish, so the “problem” now goes away.

The sun has now got his hat on again, plus a mac and umbrella by the looks of things so the “dramatic rain sodden pictures” is a pretty good bet for later on.

With the lend of the two cases of DVDs from Tony B. we have been watching a couple of movies each night, Castaway, You've got mail, Catch me if you can, The Green Mile, to name but a few, I think SWMBO's got a thing going for Tom Hanks?

Hey! Hey! Hey! I have got internet! My Kindle and free 3G! Wo Ho! Bloody slow but it does work.

Now we are off for a drive to a couple of reservoirs (Embalses) Embalse Barbate and Embalse Celemin, OK but as predicted in poured down.

Back via Mercadona for some groceries and now preparing a pasta sauce for my dinner tonight, she doesn't eat pasta as part of her diet so I can make it as hot as I like.

Been bit by a mossie in the car! How can that happen! Right on the neck, massive great lump come up and after spaying loads of repellent in there. Still it's cooling down a bit weather wise so hopefully less of the bloody things around.

Wednesday 10th November and internet is back on, turns out it was a comms problem for the whole area, not just the camp site. Now able to talk to Adam about the Centrica rights issue, I had Googled it and did not notice that the article I was reading was 3 years old and all Centrica was offering was a crappy deal to buy or sell your shares. Seems everything is going OK back there and Adam hasn't burnt the house down yet, Antonia said she had broken the ceramic tea caddy, it was already cracked so no loss there. They reported it was cold, wet and windy almost the opposite of the weather here, which has picked up a bit.

Haven’t cycled for ages because of the recent rain so hoping for a run out later today, although SWMBO doesn't seem very enthusiastic about it but I'm sure she'll change her mind.

Sunderland drew away with Spurs 1 – 1, so a result after that bloody awful drumming by Newcastle 5 – 1 the other day, Alan Swan will still be grinning about it.

T&D came round on their newly acquired bikes, they certainly cut a dash, and came in for some coffee and cake. Tony was crestfallen to discover that my “special” coffee was actually instant and not from some expensive Italian cappuccino machine.

Now have TV so Match of The Day on Sunday mornings to look forward to, don't think it will be used for much else though.   Noe she making some more fish and vegetable (yummy, not) and then it's "Crimson Tide" for movie number 1 followed by.....er so much choice.
